Bangalow is just a fifteen minute drive from Australia’s most easterly point, Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers, home to a culture steeped in rural traditions with country towns and villages nestled in the green hills and valleys formed from ancient volcanoes. With Nimbin to the west, Mullumbimby to the north and Ballina to the South, Bangalow is in the centre of the counter culture.
Just a 15 min drive down the hill to Cape Byron Australia’s most easterly point, 153° 39´ east, you will land yourself in the melting pot of numerous beaches, relaxed lifestyle of the Bay that makes Byron a popular tourist destination The Byron Shire has a population of close to 30,000, which includes the diversity of all the villages we cal home. With average summer temperatures of 21C – 28C, and average winter temperatures of 15C – 21C, both locals and visitors are able to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities including the many festivals throughout the year in the Northern Rivers.

Bangalow is just under 2 hours drive south of Brisbane, which can be reached by plane from cities all over Australia. There are also many bus companies, which travel to Byron Bay – Bangalow from the eastern capital cities. There is an airport in Ballina, 25 min away, and 50 mins away at Coolangata (Gold Coast), which offers transfers to and from Bangalow.
